What You Need for Candy Corn Snack Mix

It’s a pretty simple snack mix! The cereal is a fun touch to add some crunch to the snack mix.

  • Quaker Oatmeal Squares, Brown Sugar flavor
  • Honey roasted peanuts
  • Pretzel sticks
  • Candy corn
  • Butter
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg

How to Make Candy Corn Snack Mix

It couldn’t get any easier! Toss the cereal, peanuts, and pretzels in a bowl. Melt the butter and add in the cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour the butter over the snack mix and microwave for a few minutes. When the snack mix is cool, add the candy corn in! Delicious!

Equipment

  • Microwave

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Quaker oatmeal brown sugar cereal
  • 1 cup thin pretzel sticks broken
  • 1 cup honey-roasted peanuts
  • 2 cups candy corn
  • 5 Tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the cereal, pretzels, and peanuts.
  • In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter.
  • Mix the cinnamon and nutmeg into the melted butter.
  • Pour the butter mixture over the cereal mixture. Toss gently with a silicone spatula to coat all the cereal mixture with butter.
  • Microwave the snack mix on high for 1 minute. Remove the bowl from the microwave and gently toss the snack mix.
  • Repeat 2 more times. (Microwave for a total of 3 minutes.)
  • Spread the snack mix out on paper towels to cool.
  • When the snack mix is cool, put it back in a bowl and add the candy corn. Gently toss to mix.
  • Store in an air-tight container.
