How to Make Slow Cooker Bacon Cheeseburger Dip

Bacon and cheese are staples around here. They are always on my grocery list! And this Slow Cooker Bacon Cheeseburger Dip is the perfect combination!
This recipe is adapted from one in “Slow Cooking All Year ‘Round” by Gooseberry Patch. Packed with bacon and cheese, you definitely can’t go wrong!
This is a thick and hearty dip, so you’ll need a chip that can hold up to it. We like Tostitos Scoops or Fritos Scoops. They can hold a whole lot of this delicious dip, and they won’t break while you’re scooping!
The diced tomatoes with green chilis give the dip a little bit of a kick. If you like it spicy, you can add a small can of diced green chilis for some more heat. If you don’t like it spicy, then use a plain can of diced tomatoes instead.
One last tip, just in case you have any leftovers. (Ha!) After the dip is refrigerated, the cream cheese makes it very firm. Just heat it up in the microwave or on the stove, and it will be right back to that creamy consistency!

Slow Cooker Bacon Cheeseburger Dip
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground beef or ground pork
- 9- ounce package real bacon bits divided
- 8- ounce package cream cheese cubed
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 10- ounce can diced tomatoes with green chilis
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- Assorted chips and sliced vegetables for dipping
Instructions
- In a medium skillet, brown ground beef. Drain, and transfer to 6-quart slow cooker.
- Reserve 1/4 cup bacon bits and set aside.
- Add the rest of the bacon bits, cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, and diced tomatoes (with liquid) to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Just before serving, stir in parsley and top with 1/4 cup bacon bits.
- Reduce heat to warm while serving.
