Frozen meatballs must be one of the best creations! Whether you make your own and freeze them, or buy bulk bags of frozen meatballs, they are simple, delicious, and so versatile! We always keep frozen meatballs on hand, and I love trying new flavor combinations with them.
This is a revision of an old recipe from this blog. I first made this back in 2013, and let’s just say that my photography skills have improved a little bit since then. That original recipe was a stovetop recipe; I converted it to a slow cooker recipe and adjusted the sauce. I’m thrilled with how this version came out!
It’s a two-dish meal, because you do need to mix the sauce up in a small bowl before you add it to the meatballs and pineapple in the slow cooker. But it’s a very simple sauce to make, it just takes a few minutes!
Serve these meatballs over rice or pasta for a main dish, or use a big stack of toothpicks to serve them as appetizers or for part of your tailgate party. They would also be a great addition to a Macaroni & Cheese Bar!
This sauce is so very delicious… Make sure you get plenty of it with your meatballs. And save any leftover sauce – it’s delicious over chicken, rice, or however you want to eat it!
Enjoy!
