I’m almost convinced that meatballs are one of the perfect foods. They are bite-sized, they come frozen (hello, convenience!), they are easy to “make,” and you can mix and match all sorts of different flavors! Plus, they make perfect tailgate munchies, no matter what team you’re cheering for.
I love having frozen meatballs on hand. When I get a burst of motivation, I’ll make a big batch of these Handmade Freezer Meatballs. But that’s a bit of a time commitment. And let’s be honest – I don’t always often have that kind of time on my hands.
Store-bought frozen meatballs are tasty, pre-cooked, and easy.
And the sauce for these Sweet & Spicy Saucy Meatballs is pretty easy, too. You can just pour everything into your slow cooker, but it’s a bit hard to get the honey evenly distributed this way. It’s easier to mix all the sauce ingredients together in a bowl, then pour that over your meatballs. But if you don’t want to get another bowl dirty, I understand!
I used my 6-quart Colts Crock-Pot for this recipe. You can get your favorite team’s Crock-Pot here!
Enjoy!
