These Party Crackers are delicious by themselves, with a creamy dip, or tossed in a soup or chili. Use your imagination and use these seasoned crackers anywhere you want a little extra crunch and flavor!

Party mixes are so much fun to make and to eat. But we don’t always have a lot of different snacks around the house to use in a snack mix! So what’s a hungry family to do? Make a “snack mix” with only one type of snack! Who says you have to mix up a bunch of different things? As long as you’ve got a snack you like and some yummy flavors, you can make whatever you want!

The “sauce” for these Party Crackers is based on the Original Chex Mix seasoning. I love Worcestershire sauce and I love these mini saltine crackers, so it was a no-brainer that I was going to use both of them in this simple recipe.

This recipe is so simple you almost don’t need any tips. But I’ll give you a couple of simple ones, just in case you’re feeling a little nervous.

The first tip is to use a larger bowl than you think you need. This gives you plenty of room to stir the crackers around in the butter mixture.

The second tip is to use a soft silicone spatula to stir the crackers. This helps you scrape all the seasoning off the sides of the bowl and it lets you stir the crackers easily without breaking them.

The third tip is to be sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl when you’re stirring! That yummy buttery seasoning mixture will all fall to the bottom of the bowl in the first 2 cycles in the microwave. Be sure you’re scraping it off the bottom of the bowl so it can get absorbed into those crackers!

These crackers did turn out a bit salty. If you like salty, you’re all set, no need to change the recipe! If you are trying to watch your salt intake, you might want to use unsalted butter instead of salted butter. You could also cut down on the seasoned salt (but that will cut down some of the flavor, too).

The crackers will be just a little soggy when you take them out of the microwave the last time. Spread them out to cool, and they will crisp up as they cool down.

Enjoy!
