If you love classic holiday flavors and smells, you will definitely love this Slow Cooker Holiday-Spiced Ham! It is coated with a thick layer of brown sugar, a dash of cloves for some smokiness, and some other equally delicious holiday favorites.

This recipe was inspired by one I found in “Slow Cooking All Year ‘Round” by Gooseberry Patch. I also used a similar spice combination on these Holiday-Spiced Mixed Nuts. If you love these flavors, you have got to try both of these recipes!

This recipe was made with a 3.5-pound boneless ham. You can use any type of ham you want. I usually prefer an unsliced, bone-in ham, but this time I didn’t want a ham that big! A smaller, boneless ham is perfect for a small family, or if you don’t want a lot of leftovers.

My best tip for cooking a ham in your slow cooker is to know how big your slow cooker is before you buy your ham! I have done that plenty of times – in the grocery store the ham looked like it should fit, but when I get it home it’s too big for my slow cooker. You will want a 6-quart slow cooker (or bigger, if you have one) to cook a ham. Then follow the tips in this post to make sure you find the right size ham for your Crock-Pot, every time.
