Holiday Spiced Nuts
Ingredients
- 1 pound 11 ounce container mixed nuts less than 50% peanuts
- 1 Tablespoon brown sugar packed
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 3 Tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Put mixed nuts in a large, microwave-safe bowl.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ground cloves. Mix well.
- Put butter in a small, microwave-safe bowl. Melt butter in the microwave.
- Pour melted butter and sugar mixture over nuts and mix well with a silicone spatula.
- Microwave nuts on high for 1 minute. Stir, and return to microwave.
- Microwave for 1 minute and stir. Repeat once more, for a total of 3 minutes in the microwave.
- Cool on paper towels and store in an air-tight container.
