Ribs are one of those things that we get at restaurants a lot, but don’t often make at home. They just make so much mess. And they seem really complicated to cook!
Well, grab a stack of napkins, a few wet wipes, and turn on your oven. We are going to make some super-easy Oven-Baked Maple-BBQ Ribs!
If you want another super-easy oven-baked rib recipe, you’ve got to try these Honey-BBQ Oven-Baked Ribs, too!
First, you need to know what kind of ribs to buy. For this recipe, I recommend St. Louis style pork ribs. You could also use baby back pork ribs. Beef ribs will not do very well in this recipe, they need to cook longer than this. (Visit this article to find out more about the different kinds of ribs.)
Second, you need some aluminum foil and a baking pan. This sauce is sticky, and will burn onto the pan while the ribs are cooking. Line the pan with aluminum foil first, and clean up will be so easy. (Trust me on this one!)
Third, please-please-please use real maple syrup, not the maple-flavored breakfast syrup. Please. I am on my knees begging you.
I used Sweet Baby Ray’s Original BBQ Sauce for my ribs. Use your favorite BBQ sauce! The flavor of your maple-BBQ sauce will be a little different if you use a different BBQ sauce, but I know it will still be delicious.
That’s all the tricks you need to know to make these delicious ribs! Mix up your sauce, pour it over the ribs, and put the ribs in the oven. Then dive in and make a mess!
Enjoy!
