We’re always looking for an alternative to take-out pizza, especially since nowhere will deliver to our house! We love pasta, but I hate taking the time to boil the noodles before adding them to a casserole dish. This No-Boil Pepperoni Pasta is the perfect compromise – a great swap for take-out pizza, and no noodle boiling needed!
What You Need for No-Boil Pepperoni Pasta
The ingredients for this recipe are so simple!
- Pasta (I used rigatoni, but any pasta will work. Pick a textured pasta so the sauce sticks better.)
- Pasta sauce
- Chicken broth (or water)
- Mini pepperoni
- Grated parmesan cheese
- Italian seasoning
- Mozzarella cheese
How to Make No-Boil Pepperoni Pasta
Toss everything except the Mozzarella cheese in a 9×12 baking pan, cover with aluminum foil, and bake until the noodles are done. Then uncover, top with cheese, and bake again until the cheese is melted.
It doesn’t get much easier than that! You can even have the kids help with the pouring and the stirring before it goes in the oven.
I used 1-1/2 cups of Mozzarella cheese to top off the casserole, and it was a little bit… much. I’d recommend only using 1 cup. Of course, if you love cheese, add as much as you want!
Enjoy!
