We have been taking advantage of the nice weather this weekend to try to finish up a few projects that didn’t quite get done this summer. One of those is painting our son’s playhouse! John designed and built it himself, and it still needed to be painted. We all chipped in (pre-schooler included) to get some primer and paint on.

Let’s just say that some of the helpers were a little more helpful than others… But at least now he can say that he helped!

Easy Weekly Meal Plan #78

This week is going to be absolutely nuts for us. Between trips to Indianapolis, Farm Bureau events, and a busy week at the vet practice, I am not going to have much time for cooking. So this week’s meal plan is packed full of simple slow cooker recipes that will make plenty for leftovers. Some of those leftovers will be lunches, and some will get stashed in the freezer for our next busy week!

What to Expect in This Meal Plan

Because we know you have busy schedules, this meal plan is easy and flexible. There are 4 main course recipes – make them whichever nights work best for you. On the rest of the nights, use up the leftovers, make your own family favorite recipes, or go out for dinner! The two side dish recipes will taste delicious with any of the dinner recipes. And, of course, we all need a great breakfast to start the week!

The whole point of this meal plan is to give you some new options, a tiny bit of structure so you aren’t starting from scratch, and plenty of flexibility so you can make it fit your family’s busy life.

Breakfast:

  • Apple-Cinnamon Pancake Muffins

Dinners:

  • Slow Cooker Whole Chicken
  • Slow Cooker Pizza Fondue
  • Freezer-Friendly Sausage, Broccoli, & Rice
  • Slow Cooker Pumpkin Chili

Sides:

  • Sweet & Tangy Apple-Carrot Salad
  • Pull-Apart Garlic-Parmesan Bread – this would be amazing dipped in that Slow Cooker Pizza Fondue!
