Roasted pumpkin seeds are all well and good… but sometimes you just want a little more flavor than plain old salt. You’ve got to try these delicious Taco Pumpkin Seeds!
Of course, these are based on the basic Roasted Pumpkin Seeds. But instead of just adding a little salt, these use a big spoonful of taco seasoning!
After you scoop out the seeds from your Halloween pumpkin, clean and dry the seeds using the tips in this post. Then add some butter and taco seasoning and roast them in the oven! (Scroll down for a printable recipe card with amounts and directions.)

Taco Pumpkin Seeds
Ingredients
- 1 cup clean pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 Tablespoon butter melted
- 1 teaspoon taco seasoning
Instructions
- Clean pumpkin seeds using these tips.
- In a small bowl, combine pumpkin seeds, butter, and taco seasoning. Stir to mix.
- Line a lipped baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread pumpkin seeds in a single layer on the parchment paper.
- Bake pumpkin seeds at 300 degrees for 40-50 minutes, stirring once, until seeds are toasted.
- Cool on the baking sheet.
- Store in an air-tight container.
