Is it breakfast? Is it dessert? Add a little extra granola and some homemade whipped cream, and it’s both!

How Do You Make a Parfait?

Parfaits are one of those things that are so simple to make, but look so pretty that everyone will be impressed! You’ll want to make your parfaits in a clear glass container so you (and everyone else) can see all the layers that you worked so hard-ish to make. A taller glass is better, because the layers will stack up nice and high! I like pint-size Mason jars (with a wide mouth) for these treats.

To make a parfait, just gather all your ingredients and layer them in the container! I’ve got the layers listed in order in the printable recipe card below. Spoiler alert – there are only 4 ingredients, and 2 of them are fruit!

You can use whatever berries you have handy for this recipe. If you want to know what is in season in the United States, check out this post. It’s got a list of fruits and veggies for each season. Strawberries and blueberries are always a crowd pleaser. If you can grab some blackberries or raspberries on sale, add those, too!

I used this Nature Valley Protein Granola for an extra protein punch. There’s nothing like protein (and a hit of caffeine) to get you going in the morning!

You could make these ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator. I don’t recommend making them too early, or the granola will start to get soggy. You can always top with fresh, crunchy granola, but that isn’t quite the same. Anyway, they are so quick to put together, you won’t need to make them ahead!

What are your favorite summer berries?

Enjoy!
