We’re fans of Sloppy Joes in this house. And I’m a big fan of anything I can make in the slow-cooker. I found this recipe for Unsloppy Joes is in “Slow-Cooker Fall Favorites” by Gooseberry Patch, and knew I would have to give it a try!
Okay, so you totally still need to have a fork handy. They aren’t that un-sloppy. They are made with a package of onion soup mix, instead of your traditional Sloppy Joe sauce. So by the time they’re done, there really isn’t that much sauce to speak of.
That just means you can doctor them up any way you like! We added some shredded Cheddar cheese, but you could also add ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard, or any of your favorite burger toppings. Serve them up with a side of dill pickles and chips, and you’re ready to go!
What will you top your Unsloppy Joes with?
Enjoy!
