To say that I am looking forward to getting away to enjoy the Food Wine Conference in Orlando would be a bit of an understatement. I am so excited to get some time to visit with bloggers and sponsors in sunny Orlando! To top it off, Wish Farms is sponsoring a contest to create a cocktail with their fresh berries. Guys. We LOVE blackberries around here. We grow lots of them, and I am always trying to come up with new ways to use them. (Because, really, 5 dozen pints of blackberry jelly lasts a very long time.) I found some delicious Wish Farms Berries blackberries in my local grocery store, and knew exactly what summery drink I was going to make with them!
This Blackberry Lemonade Spritzer is so easy to make! All you need is a can of frozen lemonade concentrate, some Wish Farms blackberries, and your sparkling drink of choice. Use champagne for the adults, and use sparkling white grape juice for the kids (or the designated driver). Either way you make it, it’s delicious! Just make sure you know which is which.
If you’re going the champagne route, pick a sweeter champagne. You don’t want a dry champagne in this drink. I grabbed the cheapest one I could find at my grocery store. After all, the champagne isn’t the star of this drink, the blackberries are! Just look at that color… can it get any better?
This is going to be a favorite summer drink here! You can make up the blackberry lemonade any time. Keep it in the refrigerator in a 2-quart pitcher. Make a big pitcher of the spritzer right before you’re planning to indulge, or just make a glass at a time. The champagne or sparkling grape juice will go flat over time, so to get the biggest punch from the bubbles, you’ll want this one poured fresh.
What’s your favorite summertime drink?
Enjoy!

This looks amazing and I love that you have both cocktail and mocktail options.
My favorite summertime drink usually doesn’t change from wintertime; either a cosmo or chocolate martini. 🙂
