Choosing & Storing Asparagus
When you get asparagus home, trim the ends off and place the stalks in a jar with a small amount of water in the bottom. Keep your asparagus in the refrigerator until you’re ready to eat it.
In the grocery store, look for asparagus with bright green, thin stalks and firm, dry tips.
When you’re ready to cook asparagus, rinse it under cool running water. Trim off the bottom inch of the stalk.
