Everybody loves fries, right? But it’s too expensive to go through the drive through every night. And you feel some mommy-guilt if you buy the frozen ones all the time. (Do not feel guilty! This is your safe place – I promise not to judge, because I do it too!) If you want something different, and a choice you can feel good about… try these Oven-Baked Sweet Potato Fries the next time your family wants French fries.

We grow sweet potatoes in our garden every year, so we always have a bunch to use. We enjoy them, but I have a hard time coming up with different ways to use them. These oven-baked fries are so yummy, no one cares if we eat them all the time!

I like to peel my sweet potatoes before I slice them, but that’s your call. There are a lot of vitamins in the skin, so if your family likes it, leave it on! If not, try a serrated peeler like the one in this set. You’ll never go back to a non-serrated peeler after you try it!

We enjoy the “classic” fall flavors of brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg on our sweet potatoes. If your family doesn’t like those flavors much, stick with traditional salt and pepper. That’s the awesome thing about cooking – you can adapt every single recipe to make it your own!

Enjoy!
