Do you have your Thanksgiving menu figured out? (Check out this post for a free printable to keep you organized.) Once you know what you’re making, it’s time to start making that grocery list!
I like to write down everything I will need for every recipe on my grocery list. Then I go “shopping” in my pantry and freezer and mark off anything I already have. Once you know what you really need, you can start hitting the grocery store.
If your weekly grocery budget is tight, you can spread your Thanksgiving grocery shopping out over the month! Shop for pantry and freezer items earlier in November. Cross them off your grocery list once you have them, and label them (or hide them!) so your hungry family doesn’t accidentally dig into your Thanksgiving stash ahead of time. Save the perishable groceries (like fruits and vegetables) for the week of Thanksgiving.
