Has it been insanely hot and humid where you are? I can barely stand going outside these days – it’s miserable! Of course, pre-schoolers have no concept of hot or cold, and our son would rather be outside all day long!
Just like every year, we are late getting our garden in this summer. We planted green beans and sweet corn, and those are finally starting to come up. We also planted zucchini, summer squash, beets, tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, and cauliflower. We still need to get cucumbers, pumpkins, and some winter squashes planted.
We have not had much rain lately. I mean at all. The soil in our garden is very dry, and we need to water it a lot every day. Hopefully, this weather breaks with some rain and we (and the plants) get some relief!
While we are praying for rain (but not too much, or we’ll get flooded in!), you should enjoy the delicious recipes we have cooked up for you in this week’s meal plan!
