There’s just something about turkey and dressing leftovers… they taste so much better the next day! Plan to make extra turkey (find out how much you need here) and extra dressing. You’ll definitely want to make this turkey sandwich!
This sandwich is adapted from a recipe in “Autumn in a Jiffy” by Gooseberry Patch. If you haven’t checked this cookbook out yet, you definitely need to!
Of course, if you don’t want to wait until you have a whole cooked turkey, you can make this turkey sandwich any time. Just use sliced deli turkey instead, and make a pan of dressing just special for this sandwich!

I used kaiser rolls and made these into “regular” sandwiches. And let me tell you, it was definitely a handful! If you want something a little more manageable, make it an open-faced sandwich with a single slice of bread and eat it with a fork and knife.

Turkey and Dressing Sandwich
Ingredients
- 4 slices white bread toasted or 4 Kaiser rolls
- 8 thick slices turkey breast or deli turkey
- 3 cups prepared dressing
- 1 cup turkey gravy
Instructions
- Place each slice of toast (or bottom half of roll) on microwave-safe plate. Divide turkey, stuffing, and gravy among bread.
- Microwave, uncovered, on high for 30-40 seconds, until heated through.
- If using toast, serve as an open-faced sandwich.
- If using roll, finish sandwich with top half of roll before serving.

I got a little confused. You had listed dressing twice in the ingredients list. It’s early morning here right now so it took me a minute LOL. I think you meant turkey gravy, not turkey dressing. Regardless, this sandwich looks AMAZING! I can’t wait to try it. I’ll be having leftovers to use up very soon.
