There’s just something about turkey and dressing leftovers… they taste so much better the next day! Plan to make extra turkey (find out how much you need here) and extra dressing. You’ll definitely want to make this turkey sandwich!

This sandwich is adapted from a recipe in “Autumn in a Jiffy” by Gooseberry Patch. If you haven’t checked this cookbook out yet, you definitely need to!

Of course, if you don’t want to wait until you have a whole cooked turkey, you can make this turkey sandwich any time. Just use sliced deli turkey instead, and make a pan of dressing just special for this sandwich!

And don’t forget the gravy… oh my, the gravy… Have you tried this No-Drippings Giblet Gravy recipe yet? It’s how I make gravy when we fry a turkey – no drippings available then! You’ll definitely want to make sure you have plenty of leftover gravy to pour over this sandwich.

I used kaiser rolls and made these into “regular” sandwiches. And let me tell you, it was definitely a handful! If you want something a little more manageable, make it an open-faced sandwich with a single slice of bread and eat it with a fork and knife.

John is a big fan of this Turkey & Dressing Sandwich. Turkey, dressing, gravy, what’s not to love? What is your favorite way to use your turkey leftovers?

I got a little confused. You had listed dressing twice in the ingredients list. It’s early morning here right now so it took me a minute LOL. I think you meant turkey gravy, not turkey dressing. Regardless, this sandwich looks AMAZING! I can’t wait to try it. I’ll be having leftovers to use up very soon.
