Missing Our Martin-Cat

By Marybeth Feutz 4 Comments

We lost a very important member of our family on Monday night. After 5 months of dealing with kidney problems, invasive surgery, a handful of complications, and a whole lot of ups and downs, Martin died on Monday night.

handsome Martin
There aren’t quite the words to express what Martin meant to us…
Martin hanging out
…or what we went through together over the last few months.

Martin and Leo best friends
He was shy at first.

Martin on his chair
But once he got to know you…

…he was quite the personality.

Martin helping at work
We know that we did absolutely everything we could for him. And Farmer Doc and I are glad that we were with him at the end.

Martin napping with his friends
But nothing really prepares you for this… And it never gets any easier. Even for veterinarians.

Martin in the window
We miss you, Marto. I still expect to find you curled up on my feet when I get up in the mornings, and that will go on for a long time…

    I’m so sorry about Martin. I feel so lucky that I got to meet him. It’s funny, because looking at these pictures…I met a different cat. 🙂 But even though you told me his personality was typically shy, he warmed up to me so fast. And tried to get in my room at least 5-6 times. 😉 He was the first of your kitties to greet me. I’ll miss him! {HUGS}

I’m sure that Saint Wilber was there to greet him in kitty heaven.

Saint Wilber sure does get around! Thanks.
