It is all about tomatoes at our house right now! We planted over 30 tomato plants, and they all have tomatoes ready! Picking tomatoes isn’t my favorite thing to do… My hands get stained from the plants, and they just look dirty for days. Plus, it’s hot work! There’s no breeze down between those super-tall tomato plants!
And, believe it or not, I literally can’t give tomatoes away right now! I’ve already started making tomato sauce to can. We will also make lots and lots of salsa, diced tomatoes, and tomato juice to can. This Sauce Master is a lifesaver when it comes to processing buckets of tomatoes in a hurry!
Stay tuned for this easy tomato sauce recipe coming soon!
Picking, processing, and canning all those tomatoes takes a long time. So I need a meal plan packed with fast and easy meals to keep us going during crazy tomato time. Let’s get on to this week’s meal plan!

If the recipes on the days we listed don’t work for you, just shuffle them around. We did most of the legwork, now make it work for your family & kitchen!
Start your mornings right with a big batch of these Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits from My Fearless Kitchen. They’re easier than you think and they freeze great. They’re delicious with simple butter and jelly, or as the start of a bacon & egg sandwich!
Kick off your week with a kick! Try this Buffalo Wing Casserole from The Crumby Kitchen. Perfect for Monday night football, or whatever you have planned!
Then cool it down a little with these B.L.A.T. Sandwiches from My Fearless Kitchen. We all know the beloved BLT… this is what happens when it swallows an avocado!
Take it easy tonight and make these simple Sun Dried Tomato Pizzas from Kimmi’s Dairyland.
I love some pumpkin in the fall, and this Pumpkin Pepper Soup from Organized Island is no exception! If you don’t like the spiciness, cut back on the red pepper flakes or leave them out all together.
It’s almost the weekend! Make a big batch of this Slow Cooker Chili from The Shirley Journey to keep your football fans fueled for all their games.
Chocolate, peanuts, and gooeyness – does it get much better than these Gooey Brownie Peanut Cups from Desserts Required?
Take the weekend off, enjoy your leftovers, or eat out. We’ll be testing more recipes for you in our own kitchens!
