I’ve already said that I love fall… and the yummy food I can cook in the crockpot is one of the reasons! This was an amazing chicken breast with creamy chive sauce.
Melt 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) of butter in a saucepan.
Add 1 packet of dry Italian salad dressing mix.
Stir in 1 can of condensed cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 of an 8-ounce tub of chive and onion cream cheese, and 1/2 cup chicken broth. Stir until the soup and cream cheese are melted and the sauce is smooth and warm.
Put 6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts in a crockpot. (Crockpot liners – don’t crockpot cook without them!)
Pour the sauce over the chicken breasts.
Once the chicken is all tucked in and cozy…
Turn the crockpot on low for 4-5 hours.
Ta da! Tender, juicy, fork-tender chicken with a creamy chive sauce. Make sure you get plenty of that sauce all over the side dishes! (So good on rice…)
