EuroScrubby

By Marybeth Feutz 4 Comments

I have found the next best thing since sliced bread. Seriously. My new favorite thing in all the world. The EuroScrubby rocks!

Okay, maybe I’m a little over the top. But you have to see this to believe it!

Not too long ago, I made a batch of The Pioneer Woman’s comfort food meatballs. (Coincidentally, these were just featured on her Food Network show last weekend!)

I was left with a Pampered Chef Stoneware Rectangular Baker to clean out. And, I am not ashamed to admit, I did not clean it that night. I left it out. And the sauce dried to a hard sticky mess. Ick. So I soaked it for a few hours, and was left with this:

Pretty seriously gross.

The cleaning utensil that came with this stoneware pan was this little plastic scraper. Now, I love my Pampered Chef, but I’ve never been really happy with their stoneware scrapers. Then I remembered something my mother-in-law had given me as a Christmas gift. A EuroScrubby! They are supposed to be the next magic cleaning thing. I hadn’t really used it before, but was excited to see what it could do.

First and foremost, it’s way, way bigger than the scraper. Second, and almost as important, it’s flexible, so it can really get in those grooves and corners the scraper sometimes has trouble with.

I started off with the scraper, just to see what it would do.

One pass with the scraper, and it did get a bunch of the gunk up, but not a lot of noticeable progress.

One pass with the EuroScrubby, however…

Was more like magic!

What about those nasty corners that are so hard to get with the scraper?

One pass with the EuroScrubby, and it was amazing!

I will admit, I did need to put a little bit of elbow grease behind the sticky sauce on the lip of the pan. But overall, it was a super-simple clean up job of what started out to be a super-messy pan!

And, voila, my clean and shiny stoneware!

Thanks, EuroScrubby, you’re the best!

Want to find a EuroScrubby? Email them to see if any stores in your area sell them. If not (like around me), you can suggest some shops that you think might be interested, or do a Google search and see if you can find somewhere online that sells them. (there are a few places, but not many!)

Just a note, the folks at EuroScrubby don’t know who I am. I emailed them to find out where I could buy more scrubbies, but that’s it. This is not a sponsored post, although the Amazon links are affiliate links.

I sent an email asking where I can locally buy a Euroscrubby (yay supporting local business!) and I gave them a link to your blog post so they know where I got the fabulous idea to get one. 🙂

You know I think my mom makes those things with durable yarn and a tephlon scrubby she takes apart and weaves into her yarn as she knits the square.  LOVE it.

That’s a cool idea to make something like this yourself. Thanks for sharing@

Any luck finding a source nearby? I still need to email them back and suggest a few options around here. (And thanks for the shout-out to them!)
