- 6 slices bacon
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 Tablespoon mustard
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 hamburger buns
- Optional: extra shredded cheese for garnish; sliced pickles
Cook bacon in a
large skillet or
in the oven until it is crisp.
Set cooked bacon aside. Drain grease from skillet.
Brown ground beef in the same skillet.
When the beef is cooked through, add ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Mix thoroughly and cook over low heat until heated through.
Crumble bacon and add to skillet. Add cheese to skillet and stir until cheese is melted.
Top buns with pickle slices, hamburger mixture, and extra cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
