Slow-Cooker Irish Oatmeal

From "Slow Cooking All Year 'Round" by Gooseberry Patch.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Irish steel-cut oats uncooked
  • 1 cup dried fruit chopped
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half or whole milk
  • Garnish - cinnamon butter, brown sugar, walnuts, etc

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients except garnishes in slow cooker
  • Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours.
  • Garnish as desired.
