Balsamic-BBQ Pork Chops

  • 4 center cut bone-in pork chops
  • 1 cup beer can substitute chicken broth or water
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 8 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  • In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients except pork chops. Heat on medium, stirring frequently, until the sauce is smooth, hot, and bubbly (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Pour a layer of sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange pork chops in baking dish. Place a probe thermometer in the thickest pork chop.
  • Pour the rest of the sauce over the chops.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees until pork chops reach 145 degrees F (40-50 minutes).
