Ingredients

bacon

Instructions
Cut or tear bread into 1-inch pieces. Spread bread in the bottom of a
lightly greased
9x13 pan
.
In a
medium-sized bowl
, crack eggs, milk, and salt.
Whisk
well to combine.
Add cheese to egg mixture and mix.
Cut or crumble bacon into bite-size pieces. Spread bacon evenly over the bread in the baking pan.
Pour egg mixture over the bacon and bread.
Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. or until the
internal temperature
reaches at least 160 degrees, measured with a
meat thermometer
.
Let stand for 3-5 minutes before cutting and serving.
To prepare ahead:
Prepare as instructed above through step 5.
Cover the prepared casserole dish with
aluminum foil
or
plastic wrap
and refrigerate.
Remove casserole dish from refrigerator and uncover while the oven is preheating.
Cook, as directed above, until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees. (May need a longer cooking time.)
