January in Indiana… It’s actually a lot like January in New England, because you never really know what the weather will do from day to day! We have been as cold as 0 degrees and will be as warm as 60+ degrees, and then back down in the 20s over 7 days. It’s quite a roller coaster! Our cows don’t mind much. They are pretty far along in their pregnancies now (they will start having their babies in March). Walking through the mud can be tough for them, but they manage!
We much prefer when it gets cold and stays cold – that’s easier on our cows, our ground, and our equipment. But we deal with whatever Mother Nature throws us!
Are you ready for this week’s meal plan? There are plenty of comfort food recipes, perfect to keep you warm and cozy no matter what the weather brings!
